i've always been intrigued by qigong energy therapy.
.
as a clinical psychologist and psychiatrist, i apply it on clients who suffer from depression, anxiety disorder, panic attacks, irritable bowel syndrome, ocd, adhd, and chronic fatigue. these days however, many of my clients ask for it in order to release pent-up stress, to relax, and to rejuvenate themselves.
.
"qi" is the chinese word for "life energy." in traditional chinese medicine (tcm), "qi" is the vital force, the animating power that is present in all living beings. when a person is healthy, qi is clear and its flow throughout the body is smooth. when a person is sick, the qi is turbid and its flow is impeded by congestion or stagnation.
.
qigong energy therapy is also known as qigong medical therapy or external qi healing. it is the art and science of manipulating this "qi" to produce over-all health and wellness.
.
to perform qigong energy therapy, one must first be rigorously trained and disciplined in the whole healthcare system of qigong. i myself was trained under chinese master hao in a qigong system that involves static and dynamic exercises, breath control, massage, and visualization.
.
the healing effects of qigong energy therapy is validated by thousands of scientific studies. this scientific backing is the primary reason for the increasing popularity and credibility of qigong energy therapy throughout the world.
.
qi energy therapy is a "laying on of hands" type of healing. qi energy therapy is like getting a massage without being touched at all! amazing isn't it?
.
for me, it is a joy to be in God's presence, to connect and be filled with His healing and loving energy, and to be used as His energetic conduit in bringing health, wellness, and happiness to others.
