The first winner of a million pesos was an ice cream vendor.  And now, it's a teacher!  What luck they have!

In this game, you are given a mystery question.  From that mystery question, you choose 3 unknown words which are then revealed to you.  The challenge is to quickly make sense of the 3 chosen words and give an answer to the mystery question.  If you get the answer right, then you automatically win one million pesos!

Here I am with the staff of ABS-CBN's
Isang Tanong, Isang Milyon game segment!
It's a happy bunch of hopefuls behind us!

Through a psychological test, my task is to select the final contestants from hundreds of hopefuls.

If you ever decide to join, I might just have the good luck of getting to meet you!

And so, will the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight ever happen?

Maynever!

Job well done, Manny!

ABS-CBN: Suicidal Comedian Jobert Austria Mentions Doc Randy (life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, osteopath, quezon city, manila, philippines)

Comedian Jobert Austria facing illegal drug use charges

Push This

081714-jobert2_main.jpgInstead of gaining sympathy after he was caught supposedly attempting to jump off the sixth floor of a hotel in Quezon City on Saturday afternoon, Kapamilya comedian Jobert Austria is now facing police complaints according to a Philippine Daily Inquirer report.

The Inquirer cited a police report on Sunday which said that the Banana Split comedian was being held liable for alarm and scandal as well as illegal drug use.

The police, according to the report, recovered a sachet of suspected shabu from Jobert’s rented hotel room when the hotel manager together with his two friends responded to the commotion.

“It seemed [Jobert] was desperate, and was on drugs,” the report said quoting the head of the QCPD Anti-Illegal Drugs Unit, Senior Insp. Roberto Razon.

Although the police refrained from giving more details, Jobert was apprehended and turned over to a rehabilitation center after the incident.

Suicide try

In a taped interview with the comedian, which aired on the Sunday episode of The Buzz Jobert explained that he never really wanted to commit suicide.

“Hindi, tumawag lang talaga ako ng atensyon. Wala eh. Wala akong lalabasan sa loob eh. Alam ko nasa lobby ‘yung mga naghihintay sakin. Inaantay lang akong sumakay sa sasakyan raratratin ako,” clarified an obviously frayed Jobert.

His surprising actions made him appear to be under the influence of prohibited drugs, something which Jobert himself refuted.

“Lasing ako kagabi tsaka hindi ako kumakain dahil nga nagwo-worry ako. Nawalan ako ng isang show tapos iniwan ako ng girlfriend ko tapos pinalayas ako,” he reasoned.

But he did confirm that he underwent rehabilitation for the use of illegal drugs in the past in Scout Rallos under a certain Doc Randy.

Jobert explained that he spent the night at a hotel after was “banned” from his own condo by his girlfriend of five years.

“Nanggaling ako sa taping ng Banana Split umuwi ako. Pag-uwi ko papuntang Europe na siya eh. Pag-uwi ko binan ako sa condo. Ngayon sabi ko ‘Bakit ako binan eh hindi ako sinasabihan ng girlfriend ko?’” he shared.

A little later, he received a call from his girlfriend saying, “Nasa airport daw siya nasaan daw ako? Sabi ko ‘Binan mo ako bakit mo ako binan?’ Sabi niya ‘Hindi kita binan.’ Hindi niya alam kung sino ang nag-ban pero e-mail niya ang ginamit.”

The Home Sweetie Home mainstay likewise shared that his current distressed state stems his tumultuous love life.

Jobert claimed that he really fears for his life especially since the husband of his girlfriend is influential.

“Alam niya ‘yung mga galaw ko. Ang hirap kasi andoon [siya] pero gumagalaw siya [dito] eh kasi may pera eh. Hindi ko alam eh kasi parang may perang involved basta sabi sakin ng asawa ko ‘Wag kang magpapadala sa Camp Karingal papatayin ka doon’ nagulat nalang ako ngayon nandito ako kaya humihingi ako ng tulong. Hindi ko rin alam eh, wala akong kalaban laban eh,” lamented Jobert.

He further shared information about a recent call that he received. “May tumawag pero hindi naman sumasagot ‘Oh nasa Cainta raw si Jobert’ naririnig mo eh pero nakatakip ang telepono. Marami talaga akong threat eh.”

ABS-CBN interview: Sharon Cuneta's Midlife Crisis, Depression, and Weight Issue (life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, osteopath, quezon city, manila, philippines)

Sharon Cuneta opens up about being fat

MANILA -- After her public confession that she is undergoing a mid-life crisis, veteran actress Sharon Cuneta on Thursday assured her fans that she is "feeling much better now."

In her official Facebook account, Cuneta, 48, thanked those who expressed their support after she bared her frustrations, including problems with her weight, in an open letter last Monday.

"Besides my size, I have long been back to being 'me,' maybe a different me, but a stronger, kinder, more considerate and more appreciative, maybe even a little wiser me than before. And definitely a lot more grateful," Cuneta wrote in a new post.

"I think I have stayed fat because my size has been overshadowed and overpowered by my personal happiness. And it's true that that just may be one of the best things I can take away from this -- because that can only mean that I have had my priorities straight! I have a wonderful family that is not just intact but loving, and when all the temporary brightness fades around me, I know that they are the ones who will still be there, even if everyone else leaves. Around here, right now, I am a happy wife and mommy. And THESE, my friends, are what have helped to keep me real. And made me very, very happy and fulfilled," Cuneta added.

Cuneta, who hosted the first season of "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition" before she left ABS-CBN for the No. 3 network TV5, also further opened up about being fat.

"I just do not like being big and fat because of the demands of this industry I move around in. And also, I have always enjoyed wearing my kind of clothes (too basic and plain, maybe a bit boring for TV! But pretty, pretty clothes, as far as I'm concerned), and I obviously cannot wear them because they don't make them in my present size. I like being at my ideal weight because I have had to face health issues and I don't ever want to go through anything like that again (and you don't know all of it!)," she said.

The mother of Kapamilya star KC Concepcion also said she would like to be fit again.
"This is not to say that fat is necessarily unhealthy or ugly. It is just that it is not something that I am used to being, and how I look now is not how I see my real self. I was not always big, so I guess it's okay to say that I would like to go back to how I was before, at least size-wise. BUT, I know now that there are other things that I can still do, in spite of, or maybe even because of my present weight and appearance!" she said.

Cuneta also teased that she has "some surprises" for her fans.

"In fact, some may be coming up much sooner than you think. Very, very soon," she said, promising to keep her followers updated on social media.

Glimmer of hope

For psychologist Randy Dellosa, who worked with the actress on "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition," Cuneta open letter suggests "a glimmer of hope."

Although the lengthy post might appear like cry for help, Dellosa told ABS-CBN reporter Mario Dumaual that it's actually a sign that Cuneta is trying to "pick herself up again."

Dellosa also gave his unsolicited advice to the actress-host, saying that aside from "some more coaching on how to keep herself trim," Cuneta also needs to unload psychological and emotional baggage.

"'Yung weight issue eh sometimes comes from psychological issues. So hindi lang siya dapat mag-focus sa pagti-trim down dahil posibleng sintomas lang 'yon ng psychological o emotional baggage niya. She needs to focus now on getting rid of her emotional baggage para ma-unload din 'yung physical baggage niya,” the psychologist said.

Asked if Cuneta needs to undergo therapy, Dellosa replied: "Therapy is a good thing because it helps you confront who you really are, and it also helps you to discover the direction you need to take. So therapy is good for anybody and it's also good for Sharon Cuneta.”

Dellosa also gave his message to those who are in the same situation as the veteran actress.

"Siguro we can get some inspiration from Sharon Cuneta. She hit rock bottom. From ‘mega,’ she became ‘nega,’ nag-meltdown siya. Emo mode siya dati, pero now she's realizing there's hope after all.  If she only works on herself, then I’ll be on track again,” he said.

GMA Interview: Anti-bullying group offers chance to hit a car (life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, osteopath, quezon city, manila, philippines)

Anti-bullying group offers chance to hit a car
August 19, 2014 9:54pm

A unique project by the iAcademy school say students plunk down P10 for a 15-second smash session with an old car.

Even Makati's chief of police hit the car with a hammer.

Other than helping students release stress and anger, GMA's "24 Oras" reported that the funds taken from this project would fund Anti-Bullying Philippines' anti-hazing and anti-bullying programs.

"It's really important that the students get [their anger] out, and in a way that's school-controlled," said Carlos CastaƱo, president of the advocacy group.

Meanwhile, Makati Police chief Sr. Supt.

However, Dr. Randy Dellosa, while agreeing with the fundraiser's goals, said the method of releasing stress may end up hurting their advocacy. Stronger counseling programs, he said, may actually prove to be a better way of helping their cause.

"Violence begets violence, and these are violent ways of trying to solve a problem. It may actually escalate the problem than solve it," Dellosa pointed out.

A series of violent hazing incidents broke out in July, leading to one student from De La Salle - St. Benilde dead and one student from University of the Philippines - Diliman injured.

St. Benilde student Guillo Cesar Servando was only 18 at the time of the incident while the UPD student was still a minor when he was injured. —Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News
