... expressive-creative arts therapy in the philippines ... (life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

.
these days, i've been facilitating a lot of art therapy workshops all over town. the most recent one i did was in makati, in a place called good qi circle fitness center.
..
what attracts people to arts therapy is that it is a fun way to attain
.
  • self-awareness,
  • self-understanding,
  • self-expression, and
  • self-healing.
..
expressive-creative arts therapy is a holistic approach since it involves the body, the mind, and the emotions.
.
in the workshops, participants discover that they can express themselves
.
through verbal sharing:
.
through visual art:
.
through movement:
.
and even through stillness:
.
expressive-creative arts therapy allows us to be like little children again- being innocent, playing spontaneously, and taking risks.

is artistic skill needed?

not at all! the focus is not on artistry, skill, talent, or performance. the goal of expressive-creative arts therapy is to reach deep within one's self, to contact the authentic self, and to hear the messages from the inner core.

the result?

  • personal growth,
  • integration of body, mind, and emotions, and
  • a greater sense of life being fuller, more joyful, and more meaningful.
