... holistic healing ad ... (philippines, life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

this afternoon, i designed an advertisement that'll get published in the major dailies next week.

it's an ad on the holistic healing services that i do.

i hope that as a holistic healer, i get to use my healing therapies to help many people become healthy and well in all aspects of their being.

... when in trouble, don't panic ... pRanic! ... (philippines, life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

finally, i am now a bonafide practitioner of pranic healing and pranic psychotherapy.

i am privileged to have learned the healing system from from Ms. Faith Sawey. Faith is one of the first few disciples of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui- the developer of modern pranic healing.

here i am receiving pranic healing from Ma'am Faith:

what i enjoyed learning most was "pranic psychotherapy." pranic psychotherapy is an alternative treatment for a variety of psychological ailments such as schizophrenia, depression, anxiety disorders, sexual disorders, ocd, adhd, etc.

here i am practicing my new pranic psychotherapy skills on famed mural artist, earl desuasido:

a simplified description of pranic healing is this: as a pranic healer, i begin by asking God to use me as His instrument in healing others. i then ask God to fill me up with His loving and healing energy. once i feel more aware of His divine energy in me, i use good intentions, mental imagery, particular hand movements, and at times, natural resources like crystals to direct God's healing energy into specific areas of the patient's body.

as such, pranic healing can be likened to some sort of "creative prayer in motion."

history indicates that pranic healing (like acupuncture, reflexology, tai chi, etc.) originated from ancient chinese culture. what amazes me is that God is gracious enough to have granted a healing system to ancient cultures, thousands of years before the advent of western scientific medicine.

... my very first celebrity endorser ... (philippines, life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

i've always wanted to have a celebrity endorser for my psychiatric practice.

i mean, if drs. belo, calayan, and mendez can have a stable of talents promoting their derma services, why can't i have my own?

i've tried inviting all the actors and actresses who frequently consult me. sadly, all of them have flatly refused out of fear that the public might tag them as "loony."

finally, one young and extremely popular matinee idol courageously agreed to be my celebrity endorser... but only on 3 conditions:

(1) that only his backview should be shown,

(2) that any portion of his face should be blurred out, and

(3) that any trace of his identity should be witheld (even his gender).

well, i'm not one to complain.

so, without further ado, and with much pride of course, here he is- my very first celebrity endorser:

... a few of my favorite things ... (phlippines, life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

some people think that all shrinks are like dr. hannibal lecter- devious, diabolical, and dark.

these people are absolutely right! all shrinks are like that.

i have to say though that i'm not like dr. hannibal all the time.

sometimes, i choose to be more like patrick star...

and sometimes, i even start looking like him ... especially when i'm all light and bubbly inside!

here's a short list of my favorite things that make me as emotionally-effervescent as that effusive starfish, patrick:

  • tennis rallies

  • zen meditation

  • qigong exercises

  • personal spirituality

  • wide open green fields

  • fleeting clouds

  • acacia trees

  • the sunken garden

  • anti-oxidant vitamins

  • fresh fruit juices

  • oatmeal breakfast

... know what? life coaches make belly good dancers! ... (philippines, life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

here are some pictures that made my heart laugh and my belly jiggle.

it happened during one of my life coach training workshops.

a belly dancer named "babs" taught us how to gyrate our bellies for the following purposes:

  • number one, as a form of stress management and
  • number two, as a strategy for seduction. haha!

babs, to tell you frankly, i'll never forgive you for transforming geeky life coaches like us into "objects of desire!"

... therapeutic drumming, african style! ... (philippines, life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

.
today, i did some therapeutic drumming with young psychology practicumers from lyceum.
.
the rhythms we played were rhythms originating from the Dagara tribe of africa.

we didn't have authentic african djembe drums to play on but fortunately, we had those old reliable 5-gallon plastic water containers to beat.
.
here are pictures of honey dominguez, raine enomoto, fran catriz, chris ramos, jerry valencia, and me beating our cheap plastic drums below- in wild african style!

... hmm... i wonder what color your mood is today? ... (philippines, life coach, counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist)

hi there! thanks for being here.

a few years back, i had yocards made that advertised my professional services. these yocards never stayed too long on the public display racks though because people would hoard copies not only for themselves but for their friends too.

before the last of my yocards disappear, i thought of posting it here in the first entry of my blog. this yocard contains a personality test based on max luscher's research on color psychology.

just to make the test more meaningful, make sure to pick a color before you scroll down for the interpretation.

the interpretation's in fine print so here it is in bigger font:

  • VIOLET reveals your need for tenderness, to impress, or to be liked by others.
  • GREY reveals your need to be uninvolved or remain uncommitted.
  • RED reveals your need to experience life fully and intensely.
  • GREEN reveals your need to be recognized or to prove yourself.
  • BLUE reveals your need for peace, rest, and harmony.
  • BROWN reveals your need to relax and recover from discomfort.
  • YELLOW reveals your need for change and hope for greater happiness.
  • BLACK reveals your need to rebel.
well dude, how did you fare? i hope you enjoyed learning about yourself. oh, and by the way, you might want to share your results with me!

P.S. since we've been discussing colors at this time, let me close today's blog entry by challenging you to play a mean color game at this site: www.humorsphere.com/fun/8787/colortest.swf. i hope you not only enjoy the game but score well, too- hehe!
